There are 3 levels of DBS Checks, Basic, Standard & Enhanced. For healthcare and the treatment of vulnerable adults and children and Enhanced check is the recommended level of DBS that should be obtained. This check is available to anyone living in England, Wales & Scotland and is a search carried out by the Disclosure & Barring Service.

The AETC DBS check provides an Enhanced DBS certificate for you for £56 for members (£65 for non-members) and once received you have the option for you to apply for this to become an annual fee of only £13 per year and automatically keeps your DBS up to date. Our partner provider is very fast and efficient and we have worked with them to provide electronic ID checks which mean that you do not need to travel to a third party such as a post office to have your ID documents verified. The electronic ID service is usually an additional £10 from the few providers that offer this but with the AETC DBS check it is included for free as a member.
