Become a Mental Health Counsellor
Career Path
Our training is externally verified: “Currently, the methods of assessment at all three levels are comprehensive and robust. There is a clear pathway to development from the Foundation Level to Advanced Diploma. The assessment process at each level ensures that Learners and Trainees are engaging in a programme of learning that is fit for purpose, and results in graduating trainees who are fit to practice. In addition, the programme of learning meets the demands of Ofqual and reflects Level Descriptors for each of the three levels. The assessment processes are worthy of the accreditation status.
“AETC is retained as ‘Outstanding’, as there has been a consolidation of standards identified at the previous External Examiner/Verifier visits – despite the restrictions and reasonable adjustments afforded to the students’ during the lockdown period”. (Dr Phillip Rees, External Verifier, March 2021)
